HP Tru64 UNIX

Century Software, Inc., has had a request to compile TERM for HP’s Tru64 UNIX. We have not done so thus far.

TERM Does Not Display Colors

TERM for UNIX/Linux acts as a monochrome emulator only, even when the terminal type chosen can display colors.

AIX 4.3 and Higher

The TERM for AIX install has three subdirectories: 3.2, 4.1 and 4.2. These correspond to the appropriate version of AIX.

If you have AIX 4.3 or higher, TERM for AIX 4.2 is fully compatible. In other words, though the 4.2 directory doesn’t specifically specify, it is for all versions of AIX numbered 4.2 or higher.

Evaluation Version of TERM for UNIX

TERM 6.28 allows a 30-day evaluation install. This is only available for SCO UNIX or Linux. You can get a copy of the evaluation from our download page.

Function Keys Fail in xterm

Using TERM for Linux 6.2.5b, the function keys work properly at the console. However, if TERM is run through an xterm window in any window manager, the function keys fail. This is fixed in TERM 6.28.

File Transfer Fails in TERM for Linux

TERM for Linux 6.2.5b will not transfer files on any system using the Linux 2.4 kernel. This was fixed in TERM for Linux 6.28.

Invalid TERM for UNIX Licenses

Some TERM for UNIX licenses ending in “U3” fail when used to install the correct product. This happened in the January 2002 release of TERM 6.2.5b, and was fixed in the February 2002 release. If you are experiencing this problem, please contact Technical Support to get your serial number and activation key corrected.

CD Filenames Are Upper Case

All the file names in the TERM for UNIX/Linux portion of the combined CD are in upper case. Our documentation and install scripts refer to them in lower case. This was fixed in the January 2002 CD.

Higher Baud Rates

The available baud rates in TERM for UNIX/Linux were extended to allow 57600 and 115200 in version 6.28.

TERM for Linux Doesn’t Print Until Closed

TERM for Linux 6.2.5b will not release a transparent print job until TERM is closed. This was fixed in TERM for Linux 6.28.
