Browser-Based Host AccessTinyTERM AX for Web provides low-cost, centrally administrated, highly secure terminal emulation host access from Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser. No InstallationInstalled easily on any web server, including Microsoft, Apache, Linux, UNIX and others, TinyTERM AX for Web is configured from a server web page and downloads automatically when clicked on by internal or external users. No expensive-to-maintain Java subsystems are required, as TinyTERM AX uses Microsoft's ActiveX technology, which is supported on all Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 platforms and Internet Explorer version 7, 8, 9 or 10. SecurityTinyTERM AX for Web uses SSH or SSL/TLS for secure connectivity. In addition, TinyTERM AX for Web provides a locked-down user interface, so users cannot alter settings, increasing security. Internet Explorer users can rely on TinyTERM for 22 terminal types, including IBM TN3270 and TN5250, Linux console, Wyse 50/60, DEC VT100/VT220/VT320, and SCOANSI. Question: When I try to run TinyTERM AX for Web, instead of the emulator control loading in Internet Explorer, I get a red X.
Answer: This happens when an unsupported version of TinyTERM is installed on your PC. You can have a desktop version of TinyTERM for Windows installed and still use TinyTERM AX, but versions that aren't supported cause file conflicts that prevent TinyTERM AX
for Web from loading properly.
To get rid of the problem, uninstall TinyTERM for Windows. After that's done, check both C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\Syswow64 for the file CenLic32.dll. If a copy of that file is in either location, delete it. Restart Windows, and TinyTERM AX will load and run properly.
