CSL Run Engine Error When TinyTERM Closes
April 20th, 2007

When TinyTERM closes automatically, some versions produce the error, “CSL Run Engine ActiveX DocObject Server has encountered a problem and needs to close.” The details for the error message show: Faulting application tt.exe, faulting module cente.ocx. This happens if Establish connection on open, Close session on disconnect and exit, and Login at connect are set in the Session Properties. Turning off Close session on disconnect and exit fixes the problem.

CR 327, fixed in TinyTERM 4.30

Default.tpx Opened When URL Clicked
April 20th, 2007

If TinyTERM is configured to run as a standalone helper application, it always uses the information in default.tpx, even if the URL clicked points to a different .tpx file. Run inside the browser, this works properly. This was fixed in TinyTERM 4.30.

CR 326

7-Bit Connections Fail
April 20th, 2007

TinyTERM 4.x gives garbage or no response over a 7-bit connection, particularly if even parity is set. This was fixed in TinyTERM 4.21.

CR 323

Page Setup for TN3270 and TN5250
April 20th, 2007

Options set in TinyTERM Plus’ Printer Setup and Page Setup dialogs are ignored by TN3270 and TN5250 emulations. They always use the system defaults instead for print screens. This was fixed in TinyTERM 4.30.

CR 315

TinyTERM Thin Client on Windows 95, 98 or Me
April 20th, 2007

TinyTERM Thin Client 4.02-4.21 should only be installed on Windows NT, 2000, XP or 2003 Server. Other operating systems should produce an error message, or simply not allow the install at all.

Some versions of TinyTERM Thin Client will install on incorrect versions of Windows. The expected error message does not come up, and the install is incomplete, but it does install. This was corrected in TinyTERM Thin Client 4.30. And TinyTERM Thin Client was combined with TinyTERM Plus in version 4.40.

CR 314

Auto Login Doesn’t Retry
April 20th, 2007

In TinyTERM’s Session Properties, the Login tab allows you to configure an automated login process. However, regardless of the settings in the Retry and Wait fields, the login is only attempted once. If it fails to receive any of the Wait for strings, it never starts over. This was fixed in TinyTERM 4.30.

CR 311

Wrong Printer Listed
April 20th, 2007

The TinyTERM 4.20 Printer Setup dialog will show the wrong printer on Windows NT 4.0, no matter which one is selected. If there is only one printer installed in Windows, this does not happen. It is fixed in TinyTERM 4.21.

CR 304

Printer Setup Dialog Fails After Print Screen
April 20th, 2007

The Printer Setup dialog fails in TinyTERM 4.20 after printing the screen in Windows 95 or 98. When this happens, the wrong printer will show in the Printer Setup drop-down list as well. This is fixed in TinyTERM 4.21.

CR 303

Fingerprint and Proxy Services
April 20th, 2007

Fingerprint for SSH connections was added in TinyTERM Plus 4.21. TinyTERM 4.21 also includes the addition of proxy services for connecting through firewalls.

CR 305

Invalid TERM for UNIX Licenses
April 19th, 2007

Some TERM for UNIX licenses ending in “U3” fail when used to install the correct product. This happened in the January 2002 release of TERM 6.2.5b, and was fixed in the February 2002 release. If you are experiencing this problem, please contact Technical Support to get your serial number and activation key corrected.
