The TN3270 keyboard map allows you to set any PC key to the 3270 DUP key. However, it doesn’t work. It acts as though no key were pressed instead.

Some customers would like to have SecureFT start up the same way the Century FTP Client did, with a dialog that shows the different connections available. Some customers prefer the older interface in general to the newer.
This is something Century Software, Inc., has taken under advisement. It would require a substantial rewrite of the user interface for SecureFT. We can’t simply port the old interface over, as we’ve added SCP and SFTP to the available protocols.
Also, SecureFT writes each connection configuration to a separate file. The Century FTP Client wrote them all as sections of one large file, which became unwieldy and hard to read if enough connections were created. Nevertheless, it’s not an idea we’ve discarded.
TinyTERM Plus 4.53 has been adjusted so that SecureFT automatically opens the last connection used, provided you attempt to connect immediately after opening it. If you use any of the menus first, that saved configuration is lost.

Open SecureFT and configure a connection. Set the Initial Remote Expanded Path on the Server tab of the Edit Configuration dialog. Regardless of the protocol selected, you’ll still get put into your home directory on the remote system after connecting.
This is in part due to the different protocols available (FTP, SFTP and SCP) and the requirements of different file transfer servers. There is no general case that will allow any protocol on any server to be read perfectly, which limits how the remote path can be selected, if at all.
The Initial Local Expanded Path also fails, but in a different way. If you specify a directory — for example, C:\Temp — it expands that path, but it still displays the local files from the top of My Computer rather than taking you to the directory you chose.

Configure the right mouse button to send a custom string. Set the string to:
%o%p
which will copy the selected text, then immediately paste it at the current cursor location.
Once that’s done and applied, select a single line of text in the emulator, then click the right mouse button. The selected text copies and pastes as it should.
Now select two or more lines of text. When you click the right mouse button, an extra carriage return is inserted at the end of every line. This does not happen using Copy and Paste from the Edit menu.
If you don’t select any text, but click the right mouse button anyway, it appears to buffer a couple of sets of copied text. Clear that out, and it will paste four carriage returns, even though no text was selected.

The Century LPD Server for Windows 95, 98 and Me has an option to convert line feeds to carriage return/line feed pairs. The same option was added to the Century LPD Server for Windows NT, 2000 and XP in TinyTERM Plus 4.41.

The fread() script command has a 256-character limit, even when you set it to read to the end of a line. This was increased to an effectively unlimited size in TinyTERM 4.40.

If the prnwnlst= line in the .tpx file is blank, you must go through the Printer Setup dialog and select a printer before printing from TinyTERM. This was changed in TinyTERM 4.40, so that the Windows default printer is chosen in that case.
However, you cannot leave prnwnlst= blank if you have Bypass Printer Drivers checked. If you do make both these changes, transparent print jobs will come to the screen.

TinyTERM 4.50 allows you to connect to a server multiple times, while only showing as a single server user. The server must be configured to allow this behavior, and each TinyTERM connection from a single PC must use the same host username and password.
