URL

Acronym for Uniform Resource Locator—an address for a resource on the Internet. A URL specifies the protocol to be used in accessing the resource (such as telnet: for a telnet session or tn3270: for a tn3270 session) and the name of the server on which the resource resides (such as //centurysoftware.com).
