Handling of telnet:// and rlogin:// URLs
Clicking on a telnet:// or rlogin:// URL link in a web page will launch the
TinyTERM Emulator in the browser with the connection specified in the URL. This
way the telnet:// or rlogin:// functions just like a http:// link, where the
user browses to the next html page. The auto connect is enabled and the connection
process occurs as soon as the emulator appears in the browser.
This feature can be disabled by choosing the "Display as standalone" option in
the "OLE active Telnet and Rlogin" options section of the OLE Settings dialog. In this case, the emulator is activated as a standalone windows
program.
NOTE: To reestablish the windows default telnet:// and rlogin:// URL handlers use
the /undourlhelper command line option: tt.exe /undourlhelper This happens quietly, i.e. it does not launch the emulator.
The TinyTERM Emulator replaces the windows default windows registration of
URL:telnet and URL:rlogin upon installation.
