Connecting to a Network Host

Network connections using the TinyTERM Emulator require you to specify a network, a login type and a node:

1. From the Edit menu, click Session.

2. In the Host name, IP address or phone number field, type in the appropriate information.

3. Select the proper network options:
   • Under Connection Type, select Telnet or Rlogin.

   • Click on the Setup… button. Depending on the type of connection you specify, the applicable dialog displays. See Using the Available Devices Setup for detailed instructions.

4. Select the proper login options:
   • Click on the Login tab.

   • Select the desired Login scheme. See Using the Login Tab for detailed instructions.

5. To accept the new settings, press ENTER or click OK. To reject the new settings, press ESC or click Cancel

6. When your settings match your network requirements, click on Connect.

OR

Close the Session Properties dialog and click Connect on the Session menu.

7. The TinyTERM Emulator immediately connects to the specified network host. If a prompt does not appear, press ENTER once or twice and a prompt should appear from the remote system.
