What's New in TinyTERM 4.7.1

The following are some of the new features added to TinyTERM and TinyTERM Plus version 4.7.1.

TN3270 Emulation Updates

The TN3270 emulation in TinyTERM Plus includes improved TN3270 emulation capabilities. Enhanced SSL code means that every connection is secured by the latest encryption schemes. Extended attributes are fully supported now, 3278-5 mode has improved scaling to eliminate extraneous line draw, and connections to all IBM mainframe operating systems are seamless.

Updated Programmers Reference Manaul

The Programmers Reference Manual includes updated documentation for several commands, including emulation, DDE and color configuration.

Enhanced Debugging

The debug routines have been enhanced with additional detail. For particularly difficult issues, Technical Support can now request additional debug information if needed for more accurate problem diagnosis, leading to faster resolution.

Bug Fixes

Bugs regarding Wyse60 display, pasting the character Ø, and losing focus have all been corrected.

What's New in Version 4.7.0

Draggable Line/Column Resizing with Line Wrap

TinyTERM now includes the option to resize the number of rows and columns when dragging the window larger or smaller. Lines of text will wrap automatically to fit the new window size.

To set this mode, select the "Extend lines/columns when resizing" option on the Font tab of the Settings dialog. You can control the font size by entering a value in the Font Size edit box beneath the Extend option.

Version Number Changes

Century Software, Inc., has standardized on a new version number scheme that better reflects our release strategy. Our new version numbers are formatted:

Destructive Backspace

The "Destructive Backspace" option on the Keyboard tab of the Settings now works in all field types for TN3270 and TN5250 terminal emulations. This feature continues to be available in all other terminal types as well.
